Massage Ettiquette
Please ensure you advise your therapist of any illnesses or injuries prior to your appointment, and any allergies to anything at all may be relevant to please mention this too. This is to ensure a safe and comfortable treatment for you.
Try to arrive on time for your appointment. Arriving in a rush might mean it takes longer for you to relax.
We would be grateful if you could arrive for your massage fresh and clean. Clean skin enables the oils to penetrate the skin better.
Your therapist will ask you to undress to your comfort level, but please keep your underpants on or we can provide disposable underwear if you prefer. Your therapist will leave the room while you undress/dress. If our therapist feels uncomfortable in any way with the conversation or behaviour of any client, or the client arrives without underwear, the treatment will be terminated and you will not be permitted to book again. Where a treatment is terminated due to the actions of the client, it will be treated as a late cancellation and payment will be retained.
You will be draped for privacy and please know that nobody is judging your body in any way so please don’t feel embarrassed. Just relax and concentrate on your breathing to get the best from your treatment.
Your therapist will ask if there are any specific areas of tension and find out what you’re looking for from your massage. Please communicate with your therapist during the treatment, for example if you find anything uncomfortable at any time. It is important to us as professionals that you enjoy your experience and get the most out of it.
Good massage is based on mutual respect, and should be enjoyed your way. Some clients prefer to be quiet, while others like to chat. Please remember our therapists are professionals and we respectfully ask that you keep to appropriate topics of conversation for the client/therapist professional relationship.
